Services, pricing and booking
Three levels of planning, four ways to speak with us, and one intake form if you would rather write it all down first.
Service levels
Essential, Enhanced, Signature
Essential
Free or $100
book it yourself, or we book it for you
You know exactly what you want booked.
A single hotel or resort stay you have already chosen. Book it yourself through the Kingfisher Client Portal at no charge, or hand it to us for $100 and we manage the whole stay on your behalf. Both routes carry Fora Reserve VIP perks.
- Fora Reserve network rates and VIP perks
- Portal booking is free; changes handled by us for $35
- Advisor Managed: we VIP you directly with property leadership
- Confirmation, documentation and supplier terms
Enhanced
From $450
planning fee
A trip with several moving parts.
A designed itinerary across multiple destinations or components — flights, hotels, transfers, a handful of experiences. Begins with a Custom Trip Discovery Call, and the discovery fee is credited toward this planning fee.
- Discovery call and a written proposal
- Multi-component itinerary design and booking
- Restaurant and experience reservations
- A full travel document set before departure
- Direct support while you travel
Signature
From $900
planning fee
The journey that has to be right.
Our most involved level, for milestone journeys, multi-generational travel and complex routing. Deeper research, private guiding, curated dining, and celebration moments arranged discreetly on your behalf.
- Everything in Enhanced
- Private guiding and curated dining
- Celebration arrangements handled on your behalf
- Coordination across multiple households or parties
- Priority contact throughout your journey
Planning fees are separate from the cost of travel and are quoted in writing before any design work begins. The $75 Custom Trip Discovery Call fee is credited toward Enhanced or Signature planning.
Essential service
Two ways to book a stay
Every Essential booking sits inside the Fora Reserve network, so the VIP perks are the same either way. The difference is who does the work.
Option one
Book it yourself in the Client Portal
Free to book
Search, browse and book hotels and resorts across the Fora Reserve network yourself. Rates match what you would find elsewhere, and the VIP perks — room upgrades where available, daily breakfast, property credits and early check-in or late check-out — are applied to your reservation automatically.
- No fee to search or book
- Fora Reserve VIP perks applied to every eligible stay
- New clients complete the client intake form first
- Changes and cancellations are handled by Kingfisher for a $35 fee
Once a stay is booked in the portal, any subsequent change or cancellation must come through us and carries a $35 change or cancellation fee.
Option two
Advisor Managed
$100 per booking
We make the booking for you and then do the part a booking engine cannot: introduce you personally to property leadership, confirm your perks and amenities in writing, and stay with the reservation from confirmation through checkout.
- We place the booking and review the rate and terms
- Direct VIP introduction to the property's leadership team
- Perks and amenities confirmed with the hotel before arrival
- Requests, changes and on-site issues managed by us
The $100 fee covers one booking, handled end to end. Changes to an advisor-managed stay are included.
Self-serve port days
Independent Shore Excursions & Day Experiences
Travelers who like to handle their own port days can book directly through our co-branded portal with Shore Excursions Group — smaller groups, handpicked local guides and significant savings over cruise line pricing, with a guaranteed on-time return to the ship. Every booking is shared with your Kingfisher advisor, so your excursions stay in sync with the rest of your itinerary.
Book a session
Four ways to speak with us
Custom Trip Discovery Call
$75 · 30 min
The starting point for Enhanced and Signature planning. We listen to the shape of the journey — the occasion, the pace, the people traveling — and tell you plainly what designing it would involve. The planning fee is quoted afterward and is separate from this session.
Land Trip Consultation
$225 · 60 min
For a trip already taking shape. We work through routing, seasonality, the addresses worth the money and the ones that aren't, and you leave with a clear recommendation rather than more tabs open.
Cruise Consultation
$195 · 45 min
River, ocean, small-ship and yacht. We know which ships suit which travelers, which itineraries earn their days at sea, and which cabins are worth the upgrade. You leave with a shortlist chosen for you, not a brochure.
Company or Group Travel Discovery Call
Complimentary · 45 min
We talk through group size, dates, the shape of the program and what you need handled. Group work is quoted individually based on group size and scope.
Book within 10 business days of a Cruise or Land Trip Consultation and we handle the booking at no additional charge — your consultation fee has already covered the work.
Questions
Before you book
Why is there a planning fee?
The fee pays for the design work — research, routing, holding options, and the judgement that shapes the trip. It is quoted after your discovery call based on the complexity of the journey, and it is non-refundable once design begins.
Is the discovery fee credited?
Yes. If you move forward with Enhanced or Signature planning, the discovery session fee is credited toward your planning fee.
Do you charge for cruise bookings?
A Cruise Consultation is $195 for 45 minutes. If you book with us within 10 business days of that consultation, we handle the booking at no additional charge.
How far ahead should we start?
For a milestone journey in peak season, nine to twelve months is comfortable. For cruises with limited cabin categories, twelve to eighteen months. We take shorter timelines when we genuinely can deliver them well.
Do you require travel insurance?
We strongly recommend travel protection on every booking and will present options. Cancellation penalties from suppliers apply regardless of the reason for cancelling.
Who do we work with — one advisor or both?
Both. Kari and Schelli work as a pair, so there is always someone who knows your trip.
Our full booking terms are set out in the Terms & Conditions.
